Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow shocked the NFL world when he ran over 20 MPH during a practice a week ago. The fact that Burrow was already posting that kind of speed following his gruesome ACL injury from a couple years ago shows that he has fully recovered. Burrow's surprising speed will serve him well next season. One player who seemingly was not shocked was wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase.

“Joey B swear he fast y'all like 20 MPH fast,” Chase shared on Twitter.

Ja'Marr Chase has been teammates with Burrow dating back to their LSU days, so his comments aren't surprising. He is very aware of what kind of athlete the Bengals star quarterback truly is.

Joe Burrow commented on his recovery and speed, per SI.com.

“It just feels good to feel normal again. We're getting there. Record since surgery, that's for sure,” Burrow stated. “I've just been able to focus on the entirety of myself, weight room and conditioning, on field, throwing, mechanics, all of it's not really focusing on the knee. It's just getting back to where I was prior. And I've been able to focus on the entirety of myself as a player.”

He is working to get back to where he was prior to the surgery. One can only imagine how good Burrow can be if he feels he was weighed down by the injury last season. It wouldn't be surprising to see him post a huge 2022 campaign.

Burrow, Chase, and the Bengals are aiming for a Super Bowl return next year. The rest of the league needs to be on notice as Cincinnati's core continue to settle into the NFL.
