The Cincinnati Bengals selected wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase fifth overall in the 2021 NFL Draft, and they certainly don't regret their decision. The rookie has broken and set three new records for the franchise, including most receiving yards in a game, most receiving yards in a season, and most receiving touchdowns by a rookie.

His breakout season is pretty unbelievable, but Chase knew exactly what he was going to do once he got to Cincinnati: break every record possible.

The NFL tweeted a clip of Chase from the 2021 NFL Draft, just moments after he was selected by the Bengals.

“That's my goal right now, I'm telling you right now. I'm gonna break every record they have. I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but it's gonna get done,” Chase said. It's almost like he looked into a crystal ball and saw his future success at that moment, because he is certainly on track to break many records for the franchise.

Chase finished his first regular season in the NFL with 81 receptions, 1,455 yards, and 13 touchdowns. A lot of the rookie's success can be attributed to the chemistry he has with Bengals' quarterback Joe Burrow. The two played football together at LSU, making their NFL connection nearly unstoppable.

The young rookie will make his NFL playoff debut in the Bengals' Wild Card game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Who knows, maybe he'll break even more records Saturday afternoon.
