Cincinnati Bengals fans, you can exhale now. Your 2020 season might be over, but there is still hope for your future. First overall pick Joe Burrow was on track to be a Rookie of the Year finalist in 2020, putting together a very impressive rookie campaign.

In his first ten games in the NFL, Burrow had thrown for 2,688 yards, 13 touchdowns, and only five interceptions with one of the weakest offensive lines in the league. He was living up to the hype as a true franchise quarterback.

That all changed in Week 11 when Burrow went down with a major knee injury, tearing his ACL, MCL, and structurally damaging his knee. It was a sad sight to see, not only for Bengals fans but for football fans who saw the potential in Burrow to be one of the league's next best quarterbacks.

Only one month after Burrow's gruesome injury, videos surfaced of Burrow walking normally.

It may only be a slow walk, but considering the severity of this injury, seeing progress at such an early stage is a great sign that he will make a full recovery.

The Bengals are really going to need Joe Burrow moving forward. Without him, they have only managed one win, ranking second-last in the NFL in points scored over that stretch.

Burrow's perseverance should be expected at this point. Burrow went from struggling to get playing time, to winning the Heisman and taking college football by storm. He went from a ‘day-3 player' to the first overall pick by putting up one of the best single seasons in college football history.

It's great to see Burrow walking again. It's only a matter of time before he starts tormenting defenses again.
