There were some rumblings that Joe Burrow might force his way out of the Cincinnati Bengals organization, but he shot that idea down at the NFL combine, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Burrow also added most of the blame to the media who ran with the narrative, and he made it clear neither he or anyone in his camp has ever said that.

“You guys (media) kind of took that narrative and ran with it. There has never been anything like that from my end.”

One of the big things talked about by the media was Burrow never actually saying he wanted to be drafted by the Bengals. That made many believe that he didn't want to play with the Bengals. Burrow revealed that he doesn't want to just assume what the Bengals are going to do, which is why he hasn't talked like it's a done deal.

“I’m just not going to presumptive about what they want to do,” Burrow said via Ryan Dunleavy of The New York Post. “Of course I want to be the first pick. That’s every kid’s dream.”

Burrow might claim that he doesn't know what the Bengals are thinking, but it would be shocking if the team went anywhere besides him with the first overall pick. During the 2019 season with LSU, Burrow threw for 5,671 yards, 60 touchdowns, and six interceptions.

Thursday is the day quarterbacks will take the field for on-field drills at the NFL Combine, and all eyes are going to be on Burrow.
