Joe Burrow is not even a member of the Cincinnati Bengals yet, but he is already getting his way.

The LSU quarterback, who is widely expected to be taken by the Bengals with the first overall pick of the NFL Draft in April, made it clear at the Scouting Combine that he wants Cincinnati to keep wide receiver A.J. Green, according to Peter King of NBC Sports.

Burrow has expressed some trepidation over playing for the Bengals to begin with, so you would imagine that Cincinnati would be willing to accommodate any requests he makes.

Green is set to be a free agent this month, and the Bengals plan to keep him one way or another, whether that comes via signing him to a long-term deal or slapping a franchise tag on him.

The 31-year-old did not play at all in 2019 due to an ankle injury, and he appeared in just nine contests in 2018 as a result of toe issues.

As a matter of fact, dating back to 2016, Green has played in just 35 of a possible 64 games.

For that reason, some have questioned whether or not Cincy should retain Green, given the fact that the Bengals are a rebuilding club and Green appears to be an injury-prone receiver on the decline.

However, when Green is healthy, he is one of the most dynamic threats in the NFL, having made the Pro Bowl in each of his first seven seasons between 2011 and 2017.

And let's face it: if Burrow wants Cincinnati to keep Green, chances are, the Bengals will listen.
