The Cincinnati Bengals will be without starting running back Joe Mixon in Week 10 against the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Mixon has been held out the previous two games with a foot injury and still isn't ready to play.

The Bengals are heavy underdogs against the Steelers, who have the best record in the NFL. Their chances of upsetting Pittsburgh just became lower with the news that Joe Mixon remains sidelined.

In six games this season, Mixon has carried the ball 119 times for 428 yards and three touchdowns. The Bengals are 2-5-1 on the campaign, so it seems unlikely for the team to make the playoffs.

In 50 career NFL games, Mixon has racked up 3,359 rushing yards and scored 20 touchdowns on the ground. He was the 48th overall pick in the 2017 draft out of Oklahoma.

The 2020 season is all about the development of rookie quarterback Joe Burrow. The former LSU star has thrown for 2,272 yards through eight games while completing 67.0 percent of his passes. Burrow also has 11 touchdowns and five interceptions.

Unless some miracle happens, the Steelers are going to defeat the Bengals at home. They are the only unbeaten team in the NFL, as they have been playing elite football on both sides of the ball.

However, the hope is that Burrow continues to play well during his rookie campaign against a tough-minded Steelers defense.
