Wide receiver John Ross has asked the Cincinnati Bengals for a trade, per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Ross is on the last year of his rookie deal and hasn't been playing much of late. The 25-year-old wants a fresh start if that's going to continue being the case.

John Ross has only caught two balls this season for 17 yards. The Bengals drafted him in 2017 with the ninth overall pick out of Washington.

In 27 games with the Bengals, Ross has 51 receptions for 733 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Cincinnati is 1-4-1 on the season. This campaign is all about developing rookie quarterback Joe Burrow, who has thrown for 1,617 yards and six touchdowns through his first six NFL games. The No. 1 overall pick also has four picks.
