Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals fell just short of their championship aspirations last Sunday as the Los Angeles Rams beat them in Super Bowl 56.

In the process, Burrow suffered a small knee injury on one of seven sacks on the day.

However, it's not expected to be serious or require surgery.

The Bengals quarterback was seen limping off the field in the second half grimacing in pain but by no surprise, he toughed it out. Burrow completed 22 of 33 passes for 263 yards at SoFi Stadium, including a lone touchdown to Tee Higgins on a deep bomb. While the Bengals' offensive line performed well in the first half, the Rams' lethal defense put serious pressure on Burrow in the final two periods.

Cincinnati didn't fulfill the ultimate goal, but the fact the team made it all the way to the Super Bowl is impressive in itself. Burrow is proving to be an absolute superstar and Bengals fans can breathe a sigh of relief knowing he didn't suffer a serious injury. They've already dealt with that scare last season when the then-second-year signal-caller tore his ACL.
