The Cincinnati Bengals are unlikely to throw the league for a loop when they are officially on the clock with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The Bengals are widely expected to take LSU quarterback Joe Burrow with the top selection. But as for the rest of the draft? That will be a totally new challenge… for all teams involved.

This year's draft will be fully virtual, with front offices having to coordinate on their own due to the closure of team facilities.

However, Bengals coach Zac Taylor is not too concerned about the operational change affecting Cincy's process (via Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk):

While some coaches and some teams might have concerns about how a virtual draft is going to work, Bengals coach Zac Taylor is looking forward to it.

“I think our guys have really embraced it and done a good job of adjusting,” Taylor said of technology on a conference call posted on the team’s Twitter account. “We’re excited to see what the draft looks like this way. I know there are some people uneasy around the league about it, but I’m excited to see how it all plays out and what it looks like and who can adjust the best.”

Some coaches and executives have expressed concern over the integrity of the new format, aside from the sheer functionality of a virtual draft. It seems the NFL will still have to clear the air a bit in the next few weeks.

That said, Taylor feels the Bengals will be prepared for anything and everything.
