The Cincinnati Bengals and Cleveland Browns are gearing up for an all-Ohio matchup on Thursday night in Cleveland.

Both teams came up short in Week 1, though they went about it in very different ways.

The Browns were totally overwhelmed by the Baltimore Ravens, as Lamar Jackson completed 20 of 25 pass attempts for 275 yards and three touchdowns while Baker Mayfield completed just 21 of 39 attempts for 189 yards and one touchdown, in addition to an interception.

Meanwhile, No. 1 overall pick Joe Burrow almost earned a win in his first start, though he struggled mightily. Burrow completed 23 of 36 passes for 193 yards and also scored a rushing touchdown, but he threw an interception and missed a bunch of reads. The Bengals came up short after Randy Bullock missed a game-tying field goal at the end of regulation.

Needless to say, both teams will be hoping to bounce back with a win in Week 2. Here are four bold predictions for Thursday night's contest between the Bengals and Browns.

1. Nick Chubb rushes for 150 yards

Although they were dominated by Baltimore, the Browns had some success running the football.

Cleveland rushed 27 times for 138 yards. Last year's second-leading rusher, Nick Chubb, rushed for 60 yards. Only, Chubb had just 10 carries as the Browns fell behind early and found themselves having to dig out of a big hole.

The guess here is Cleveland will look to feed Chubb early and often. Cincinnati had a hard time containing L.A.'s running backs in Week 1, as Austin Ekeler and Joshua Kelley combined for 144 yards on 31 carries. Given the Browns have a pair of dynamic backs in Chubb and Kareem Hunt, it seems likely they will run the ball quite a bit.

Cleveland can also take some of the pressure of Mayfield by committing to the run, which could open up the play-action passing game.

Chubb is averaging over 5.1 yards per carry for his career. He churns out yards, and the Browns need to control the possession against the Bengals. Chubb could be in line for a huge game against Cincy, especially if he gets the appropriate volume.

2. Joe Burrow passes for over 300 yards

As previously mentioned, Burrow's debut left much to be desired.

The former Heisman Trophy winner made a number of poor reads, and averaged just 5.4 yards per pass attempt. However, he has a favorable matchup against the Browns.

Jackson did just about whatever he wanted to the Browns secondary, having success in the seams and also throwing the deep ball to Marquise Brown. Burrow might also have the opportunity to carve up Cleveland's defense, especially given the personnel on Cincinnati's roster.

A.J. Green and Tyler Boyd are capable route-runners and possession receivers, and John Ross is an absolute burner. But Burrow needs to be more efficient: he hit Green on just five of nine targets, while completing just two passes to Ross on five targets.

Burrow could face some problems if Myles Garrett and the rest of the Browns pass rush has success against Cincinnati's offensive line. But the Bengals held up OK against an elite pass rush in Los Angeles, which featured Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram III.

This could be a big opportunity for Burrow to bounce back and prove he is indeed the real deal.

3. A.J. Green over 100 yards receiving

A successful day from Burrow would bode well for Green, given his target share in the opener.

Green caught five passes for 51 yards against the Chargers, showing glimpses of the guy who made seven consecutive Pro Bowls between 2011 and 2017.

The 30-year-old showed very few limitations playing in his first game since Week 13 of the 2018 season, running and cutting with sharp movements. He should continue to feel more comfortable getting back to game speed.

Cleveland's secondary will have its hands full with a deep group of Bengals pass-catchers, and Green also has a big size advantage over Denzel Ward or any other Browns defensive back lining up on the other side.

Green could have a big night on Thursday.

4. Baker Mayfield throws 3 TD's, leads Browns to win

This might seem like a counterintuitive prediction, especially if the Browns commit to Chubb and the rushing attack.

But the skeptics have already come out in droves against Mayfield in Week 1, and he has to be on target in order to avoid further scrutiny.

All eyes will be on Baker, and he will perform.

Success in the run game will allow Kevin Stefanski and the Browns to open things up for Mayfield to spread the field and take deep shots to Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry.

Pro Bowl tight end Austin Hooper should also play a larger role, especially given David Njoku was placed on injured reserve. Hooper is an excellent target in the red zone, and he could be on the receiving end of one of Mayfield's touchdown throws.

In any case, this game could mark a potential breaking point for Mayfield if he plays poorly, considering the Browns have veteran Case Keenum waiting in the wings.

However, Mayfield will respond to the adversity with a strong game, and lead the Browns to a win in the process.
