In his second year in the league, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen improved on a solid rookie campaign. He also showed that he has what it takes to lead the Bills to the postseason and become a possible star in the league one day.

With the offseason trade to acquire former Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs, Allen will have a true No. 1 option at receiver and that could lead to much more.

He will lead the Bills to their first divisional title since 1995

It's been a long time since the Bills have won their division. With longtime New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the AFC East is more open than it has been in a very long time.

Last season, the Bills got pretty close with a 10-6 record. I wouldn't be surprised if Bill Belichick finds a way to continue New England's success but if I had to put my money on it, I think Allen and Buffalo's strong defense will be enough for the team to take the division.

Allen helps give Diggs a career year

While he hasn't made a Pro Bowl appearance in any of his five seasons, Diggs has proven the last two years to be a Pro Bowl-caliber wideout.

In 2018, Diggs totaled 1,021 yards and nine touchdowns. In 2019, the 6-foot, 191-pound pass-catcher put up 1,130 yards and six touchdowns.

At 26 years old, Diggs is entering his athletic prime. If the Bills can get John Brown to over 1,000 yards last season, there is no doubt that Diggs can record around 1,200 yards and 7-to-10 touchdowns.

Allen totals at least 35 touchdowns

A rocket-armed prospect out of the University of Wyoming, Allen has seen his touchdown totals increase in his two years while his interceptions decrease.

As a rookie, Allen recorded 18 touchdowns (10 passing and eight rushing) while throwing 12 interceptions in 12 games. Last season, Allen drastically improved with 29 touchdowns (20 passing and nine rushing) and only nine interceptions.

With the addition of Diggs, the further development of the run game and a strong defense behind him, expect to see Allen increase those numbers even further.

In 2020, expect around 3,300 yards and 27 touchdowns for Allen through the air while adding around 600 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.

If Allen has that kind of year, expect to see Buffalo as one of the best teams in the league while cementing the third-year pro as one of the brightest young stars in the league.
