It took exactly no time at all for Jet-turned-Bill Andre Roberts to throw some shade at his former team, and he set the sports journalism world abuzz with his comments.

Roberts was asked by the Buffalo News about what made his move to upstate New York a good one, and let's just say that he wasn't afraid to let them know what the real deal was.

“I think that was the biggest thing first – being able to play the Jets twice a year. Coming from there, I know all about what they’re about. Being able to go against my old team is always going to be fun. … The way they kind of handled it was a little shady, but it is what it is. I'm a Buffalo Bill now, and I'm enjoying being here.”

Perhaps Andre Roberts has a bit of a reason to be upset with his former employers. After all, in his last season with the team, Roberts led the NFL with 1,174 kick-return yards in 2018, and his average of 29.4 yards was second in the league. His 14.1-yard average for punt returns was tied for the best in the NFL. Roberts returned a kickoff and a punt for touchdowns and also caught 10 passes for 79 yards and another touchdown after signing with the Jets prior to last season.

With that level of production, Andre Roberts expected — naturally, perhaps — that he would be re-signed with the Jets.

But his asking price, according to the team's brass, was too high, and as such, he moved to Buffalo.
