The Buffalo Bills had reportedly agreed to a deal to acquire wide receiver Antonio Brown a few days prior to the trade that sent him to the Oakland Raiders. Although the Pittsburgh Steelers and Bills had supposedly agreed to a deal, Brown was far from interested in playing for Buffalo.

On “The Boomin' Experience Podcast,” Brown and his agent Drew Rosenhaus spoke about the possibility of Brown going to Buffalo. Rosenhaus reportedly did not engage in any contract discussions with the franchise pending a trade considering he knew Brown would not want to play there. When Brown heard that, he had this to say:

“Yeah, don't even waste time.”

The Steelers were said have had a deal in line with the Bills, but Brown's obvious displeasure with playing there caused the trade to fall through. The Bills are about as far along as the Raiders are in regards to legitimacy towards a Super Bowl title, but it's clear Brown was much more interested in playing with Derek Carr over Josh Allen.

Brown made it increasingly clear he wanted to play with a top tier quarterback, and at this point in time Carr is obviously the more proven player. The big winner in the deal is none other than Brown himself considering he got the deal he wanted and got to play where he wanted, presumably.

Oddly enough, the Raiders are a team in a massive rebuild, but Brown wanted out off Pittsburgh bad enough and wanted to be the main guy on offense in a major way.
