With the Miami Dolphins seemingly ushering in a bit of a rebuild, there was some speculation regarding the future of running back Frank Gore. It appears he will not be leaving the AFC East for the 2019 NFL season.

Gore made it clear that he still has plenty left in the tank after a solid 2018 campaign. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he has signed a one-year deal with Buffalo:

Bills have agreed with Frank Gore on a 1 m-year, $2 million deal, per source.

The Bills have also attempted to add some youth to their roster in recent years. However, it appears they will be looking to balance it out with some experience as well. There is no question that Gore can certainly provide.

Although he has been in the final stretch of his career for quite some time, Gore has still managed to make a mockery of Father Time in recent years. He served as a stabilizing factor in the Dolphins backfield last year. He finished the season with 722 yards on 156 carries to go with 12 receptions for 124 yards and a touchdown.

Gore will now likely serve as a complementary option to running back LeSean McCoy. There is no question that McCoy is coming off a disappointing 2018 campaign.

Despite his struggles, general manager Brandon Beane is still confident in his abilities and intends to keep him through his contract. The Bills are hoping their new addition can help stabilize the backfield moving forward.

Gore will have another year to add to his career rushing total.
