The Buffalo Bills' offense will be getting a boost for Week 17 as wide receiver Cole Beasley cleared COVID-19 protocols on Wednesday.

Beasley, who is unvaccinated, is one of the first players to benefit from the NFL's new rules. The CDC recently shortened the quarantine period from 10 to five days and the league is following a similar path. The Bills wideout spent nine days sidelined due to the virus.

Of course, he's been one of the most vocal players on the vaccine, stirring quite the pot in the last few months with his comments. He's actually been fined $100,000 for numerous violations of COVID-19 protocols.

While Beasley was out against the Patriots on the weekend, the Bills had no problem taking care of business, cruising to a 33-21 victory to take the lead in the AFC East. Isaiah McKenzie shined in place of Beasley, grabbing 11 receptions for 125 yards and a touchdown.

Buffalo head coach Sean McDermott made it clear that his team are doing everything imaginable to stay healthy and shy away from having more problems with the virus. Via ESPN:

“We've taken about as many precautions as you can take,” he said. “So other than that, as I said last week, I'm not sure what else you can do. Really, the guys are only in for the most part for practice time other than treatments, for those needed.”

WR Gabriel Davis, who is also unvaccinated, will be eligible to return in Week 18 as well. The Bills take on the Atlanta Falcons.
