It is no secret that the Buffalo Bills are looking for some firepower this offseason. They managed to address their issues in the return game with the addition of wide receiver Andre Roberts.

Roberts spent the 2018 NFL season with the New York Jets. According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, he will stay in the AFC East after signing with Buffalo:

There is no question that the Bills need all the help they can get this offseason.

This is why they have been linked to some of the most high-profile offensive free agents such as wide receiver Antonio Brown. Although they ultimately decided to back out of negotiations for Brown, it is clear they are still looking to address their other voids on the roster.

Despite now being 31 years old, Roberts enjoyed a bit of a breakout season last year. He provided the Jets with plenty of bang for their buck as one of the most dangerous returners in the NFL.

He led the league with 1,174 yards on kickoff returns to go with two return touchdowns. He was just as viable as a punt returner as well with a league-leading 14.1-yard average. His skill set even earned him his first career trip to the Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro honors.

Although he may be a playmaker on special teams, Roberts has never been able to etch out a consistent role on offense.

The Bills will need to continue their search for more weapons to surround quarterback Josh Allen with moving forward.
