Buffalo Bills tight end Dawson Knox has tested positive for COVID 19 and was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.

In addition to Knox, tight end Lee Smith, Tommy Sweeny, and Nate Becker were also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list as they were in close contact to him. All four players will miss Sunday's game against the New York Jets, the Bills announced in a statement Saturday.

Fortunately, Bills tight end Tyler Kroft was spared from the outbreak that hit on Friday. He attended the practice on Friday; however, he missed the beginning of the practice where the virus had hit. The reason why he missed the beginning of the practice was that wife, Alexa, went into labor for more than 24 hours on and delivered their baby Grace Friday morning.

Nevertheless, the Bills will be without a majority of their tight ends on Sunday against the Jets. The remaining tight ends on the Bills' 53-man roster are Kroft and Reggie Gilliam. They have also promoted wide receiver Duke Williams, linebacker Andre Smith, offensive lineman Jordan Devey and cornerback Dane Jackson from the practice squad to the active roster for Sunday's game.

As for the four players that were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, it's unclear when they'll be able to return to the lineup. The Bills are scheduled to play the New England Patriots next Sunday, which will be a very crucial game. They're currently first place in the AFC West—owning a record of 4-2.
