Buffalo Bills rookie running back Devin Singletary has been one reason his team has succeeded in the first two weeks of the 2019 NFL season. However, despite the early-season contributions of the rusher, Singletary is currently day-to-day with a hamstring injury, according to ESPN's Marcel Louis-Jacques.

The Bills selected the FAU product Singletary the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Impressed by Singletary during training camp and the preseason, Buffalo even released veteran LeSean McCoy, who subsequently signed with his former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid's latest squad, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Singletary rushed for four carries and 70 yards in his professional debut with the Bills in Week 1's matchup with AFC East division rivals New York Jets. The Bills scored 17 unanswered points to stage a late-game comeback and win over their foes. In Week 2, the Bills and Singletary stayed pat in MetLife Stadium, taking on the New York Giants, who couldn't handle quarterback Josh Allen and the ferocious Buffalo defense, defeating Eli Manning's team 28-14.

Singletary scored a touchdown—his career first—while rushing six carries for 57 yards in the victory.

In the win, however, Singletary left the game with the hamstring injury in the fourth quarter. The Bills also have the services of veterans TJ Yeldon and Frank Gore, rounding our their running back corps. Yeldon is a 25-year-old rusher and former member of the Jacksonville Jaguars before signing a two-year deal with the Bills in the offseason. Gore, a five-time Pro-Bowl running back, is a 36-year-old best known for his time with the San Francisco 49ers. He signed a one-year contract with Buffalo in March earlier this year.
