There has been a sudden influx of NFL players that have been arrested this week and there was another name added to the list on Saturday night. Ed Oliver, a second-year player for the Buffalo Bills, was arrested for DWI and unlawfully possessing a firearm.

Earlier this week, it was discovered that Quinton Dunbar and Deandre Baker had arrest warrants issued for them. Both Dunbar and Baker were wanted for four counts of armed robbery and aggravated assault. Since the incident occurred, Dunbar and Baker have turned themselves in to the police.

On the other hand, veteran wide receiver Cody Latimer was arrested on multiple charges, including the illegal discharge of a firearm. Now, Oliver becomes the fourth known NFL player to be arrested at some point this week.

Late Saturday night, Oliver was pulled over by the police after someone called 911 on him. When the police arrived, the Houston product had a beer between his legs. In addition, the police found a firearm located in Oliver's vehicle.

Just last year, the Bills selected Oliver with the No. 9 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. Despite having a somewhat limited role, Oliver still recorded five sacks, five tackles for loss, and a forced fumble in his rookie campaign.

Heading into his second season in Buffalo, Oliver was expected to see an increased role with the team in 2020. The talented interior defender showed promise in 2019 and the departure of Jordan Phillips gives Oliver a chance to start next season.

However, his recent arrest could throw a wrench into Buffalo's plans for him.
