It’s a hard no. Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane emphatically denied reports that the team is willing to reunite with Sammy Watkins.

“That's 100% false. We never spoke to Sammy Watkins or any of his representation about trading for him,” Beane said, per Bills beat reporter Sal Capaccio.

Earlier in the day, Bleacher Report’s Tyler Dunne stated that the Bills had an interest in bringing Watkins back to their fold.

However, Beane laid the rumors to rest almost immediately after Dunne’s article came out.

“We never discussed him with anyone in our building that matters. End of discussion,” the Bills GM furthered.

Watkins was selected by the Bills as the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was off to a promising start by catching six touchdown passes and setting rookie team records in receptions (65) and total receiving yards (982).

Cracks in Watkins and the Bills’ relationship began to appear during the former’s second year when he went on a tirade regarding his lack of involvement in offense.

“You came up to draft me and I’m not getting targets,  that’s a problem. You’re making me look bad and you’re making yourself look bad. Why not make both of us look good?” Sammy Watkins said at the time.

Watkins did not do himself any favors on social media as well when he lashed out on fans criticizing his three-game absence due to injury.

Year three was even worse for Watkins, as he was forced to miss half of the season due to a broken foot. The Bills declined his fifth-year option and later traded him to the Los Angeles Rams in exchange for E.J. Gaines and a 2018 second-round draft pick.

Watkins, however, found success with the Kansas City Chiefs as part of their Super Bowl-winning team just this past 2019 season.
