Josh Allen was drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the No. 7 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft. It was a move that made the fans in Buffalo extremely excited, although some thought that the team wasted their pick. Despite the mixed reactions, Allen seems to be the long-term face of the franchise for the Bills.

Unfortunately for the Bills, their rookie quarterback has been dealing with an elbow injury that has kept him out of game action. It does appear, however, that he is close to returning to the field.

According to a report from Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Bills are expecting Allen back in Week 12 after their bye week against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen, who has been ruled out of Sunday's game against the Jets because of an elbow injury that sidelined him the past three games, is expected to be ready to return on Nov. 25 against the Jaguars after Buffalo's bye week, a source told ESPN.

Allen has played in six games this season for the Bills, completing 54.0 percent of his pass attempts for 832 yards, two touchdowns, and five interceptions. Those numbers may not look great, but he is a very young, raw quarterback prospect that needs to be developed.

At just 22 years old, there is no denying the arm that Allen possesses. He has a lot of strength and is working on his accuracy. If he can get his decision-making to improve just a bit, Allen is going to be a very good NFL quarterback.

Buffalo is heading for yet another high draft pick this season. Thankfully, they have their quarterback and can focus on putting more pieces around him for him to succeed.
