Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is currently nursing knee and ankle injuries. However, that will not keep him off the field in their upcoming Monday Night Football showdown with the San Francisco 49ers. Speaking about his nagging nicks and bruises, Allen pretty much conceded that he has no other choice but to deal with it.

“It didn’t feel great,” Allen told Mike Florio of PFT by phone after Sunday’s game. “But it is what it is. Gonna take more than that to get me out.”

Allen has yet to miss a game for the Bills this 2020 season and it seems like relatively minor issues with his ankle and knee won't be enough to keep him on the sidelines. The 24-year old is in the midst of a breakout campaign and should be in line for his first Pro-Bowl nod this season. Likewise, the 2018 no. 7 overall pick has done more than enough to warrant MVP chatter this year.

Though the Bills are certainly striving this year, Allen expressed that their current record isn't enough to win the AFC East. Buffalo currently stands atop their with an 8-3 mark. However, the Miami Dolphins are right behind their tails at 7-4.

The Bills cannot afford to lose their star quarterback at this point of the season, especially if they are striving to make some noise in the postseason. Winning the AFC East should help solidify their place and give them a better advantage heading into the playoffs.

On the season, Allen has recorded 3,028 passing yards and 311 rushing yards for the Bills, good for 7th and 6th among quarterbacks, respectively.
