Buffalo Bills third-year quarterback Josh Allen made some major leaps in his game in 2019. One thing that has always stuck out for him though is his arm strength.

Allen has an absolute cannon, with the ability to throw down field with relative ease. It's really hard to argue that he might have the strongest arm in the game right now.

There are a few quarterbacks that could make a case to have that title though. One of them is an MVP, a Super Bowl winner and a Super Bowl MVP. Of course, that quarterback is Patrick Mahomes.

The two quarterbacks were having fun with the dueling arms. They were setting up a distance throwing contest.

Now, according to Ryan Talbot of New York Upstate, it sounds like Allen might be pumping the brakes a bit on the contest.

It is not like Allen is saying the throwing contest is not going to happen. He does seem to be tempering expectations though. It certainly sounds like the two quarterbacks aren't setting anything up just yet.

Perhaps they hit a snag and decided it would be better to just try and figure it out in the moment.

After all, this is something they would probably want to do in front of fans. It would be tough to do before a game because they will need to have a whole setup, one that would probably not be practical to have before an actual game.

If Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes wait, they might be able to outlast the pandemic. Then they can make it a whole event with fans, raising money and producing a lot of buzz.

For now though, it sounds like the throwing contest is being postponed to a later date. So we will just have to wait and hear what Allen and Mahomes have to say about it next.
