The Kansas City Chiefs went into overtime for the second straight week in the playoffs. Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen had the funniest reaction to the Chiefs winning the overtime coin toss again, this time in the AFC Championship Game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Allen and the Bills lost 42-36 last weekend against the Chiefs despite a stellar performance from their superstar quarterback. Allen's heroics throughout the game got the Bills into a great position to win. Buffalo's defense being unable to slow down Mahomes and the Chiefs' offense led to the team's downfall.

This time around, the Chiefs couldn't finish the job. The Bengals' Von Bell picked off Patrick Mahomes in overtime. Then, Cincinnati's offense marched down the field and kicked a field goal to win the game and advance to the Super Bowl by a score of 27-24. There is more deja vu than the Chiefs winning the coin toss as Evan McPherson once again nailed a game-winning field goal to help the Bengals win.

Joe Burrow threw for 250 yards, two touchdowns and an interception to lead the Bengals to their first Super Bowl since 1988. The Cincinnati defense made the Chiefs' offense look abysmal in the second half. After the Bills' loss reignited the debate about the NFL's overtime rules, the Bengals silenced the doubt about them by winning with both defense and offense in overtime.

The emergence of the Bengals is a wake-up call to the AFC. Allen and Mahomes now have another young quarterback to be on the lookout for.
