Buffalo Bills cornerback Josh Norman isn't known as someone who typically holds his tongue, The veteran cornerback has been known as a fiery competitor and vocal teammate. With the recent killings of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and many others, the 32-year-old has shifted his vocal personality towards fighting racial inequality and police brutality in the country.

“When you look at it, decade after decade after decade, these racist events have occurred, there’s been band-aids that have been pulled over…That band-aid has been pulled off and you see what it really is,” Norman said in an interview with the NFL Network's Michael Robinson and Steve Wyche. “We need to find a way where we come together and sew that band-aid up. No longer let it be a band-aid, no longer let it be a wound.”

Josh Norman is not alone in calling for change in the United States. In the NFL, many teams, players (both former and current) and coaches have come out to display either their support, their frustration or both.

“Put yourself in their shoes,” Norman said. “People need ask themselves, ‘What can I do, to help out my African American brothers? What can I do, as a white person, as a Native American, and Hispanic? Everybody. We all in this together, what can I do to help out the next race? Because if don’t, if we don’t? Things like this are going to continue.”

After spending the last four years with the Washington Redskins, Josh Norman signed a two-year deal with the Bills this offseason worth $6 million. The former First-Team All-Pro started eight of the 12 games he played in last season for Washington where he recorded 40 tackles, six passes defended, one interception, one sack and a forced fumble.
