Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy has been working through a hamstring injury the last few days since suffering the injury during Sunday's 27-23 loss to the New York Jets.

McCoy was unable to participate in Wednesday's practice that created a sense of uncertainty around his status for the Week 15 matchup against the Detroit Lions. He was able to make some progress on Thursday as he took the practice field on a limited basis, according to Mike Rodak of ESPN.

This has added to what has been a frustrating 2018 campaign for McCoy putting together the least productive campaign of his career with 479 rushing yards and two touchdowns along with 29 receptions for 210 receiving yards in 12 games played.

McCoy is currently on pace for a career-worst 590 rushing yards while tying a career-low with just two rushing touchdowns. He has notched more than 100 rushing yards just once while posting fewer than 50 rushing yards on seven occasions.

Granted, he has been playing in one of the least productive offenses in the league. It is hard to push past the fact that he has struggled to produce this season. He hasn't looked like the game-changing talent he has been throughout his entire career that has seen him post six 1,000 rushing yard campaigns in his first nine years in the league. Instead, he has begun to perform at a level that would suggest that his best days are possibly behind him.

There could be plenty of tread left on his tires at this point in his career, but it hasn't looked like it in any regard this season. Injuries have also played a factor, as he's been plagued with leg injuries that have hampered him over the last few years. Beyond that, his status for this week's game should have more clarity depending on his participation in Friday's practice.
