Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy will miss his team's game against the Detroit Lions on Sunday due to a hamstring injury, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

McCoy suffered the injury in his team's loss to the New York Jets last weekend. McCoy was said to be a game-time decision to play against Detroit, but it doesn't appear as if his chances are very good.

The 30-year-old has had a very underwhelming 2018 campaign, rushing for just 479 yards and two touchdowns while averaging a paltry 3.3 yards per carry. All of those numbers are career lows. In addition, he has caught just 29 passes for 210 yards.

McCoy, who played his collegiate football at the University of Pittsburgh, was originally selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round (53rd pick overall) of the 2009 NFL Draft.

He showed impressive potential during his rookie year, totaling 637 yards and four scores on the ground. The following season. McCoy racked up 1,080 yards while reaching the end zone seven times, recording 5.1 yards per attempt. He also hauled in 78 receptions for 592 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

The Harrisburg, Pa. native then made his first Pro Bowl in 2011, accumulating 1,309 yards and a league-leading 17 rushing touchdowns. He was also named a First-Team All-Pro for his efforts.

McCoy spent the first six years of his career with the Eagles, making three trips to Honolulu and earning a rushing title in 2013.

However, after the 2014 campaign, McCoy was traded to the Bills, where he rushed for 895 yards and three scores in 12 games en route to another Pro Bowl appearance.

McCoy proceeded to rush for over 1,000 yards in each of the next two seasons, but this year, age has seemingly caught up with the halfback.
