In the last few days, Buffalo Bills Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy has been working his way through a hamstring injury that could put his availability for the final stretch of the season into question.

Given that the Bills are firmly out of the playoff picture, it has also brought into question how much McCoy will be playing over that stretch. In light of that, he has voiced that he would “love” to be able to take the field for the last few games, according to Jason Wolf of Bills News.

With only three games remaining in the season and the Bills eliminated from playoff consideration, how much does he want to push to get back on the field?

“I could use some more yards,” McCoy said, “so any opportunities I get to do that, I’d love to do that.”

It has been nothing short of a frustrating 2018 campaign for McCoy putting together the least productive campaign of his career with 479 rushing yards and two touchdowns along with 29 receptions for 210 receiving yards in 12 games played. He currently on pace for a career-worst 590 rushing yards while tying a career-low with just two rushing touchdowns.

McCoy has notched more than 100 rushing yards just once while posting fewer than 50 rushing yards on seven occasions. Granted, the Bills possess one of the league's least productive offenses; it hasn't hidden the fact that his production is far below what has become expected of him over his career. McCoy hasn’t any near the level of the game-changing talent he has proven to be over his entire career that has seen him post six 1,000 rushing yard campaigns in his first nine years in the league.

If he's able to work past this lingering hamstring injury, he will have the chance to finish out the season on a strong note to help move past what has been one of the most challenging seasons of his career.
