The Buffalo Bills managed to piece together a respectable finish to the 2018 NFL season. Quarterback Josh Allen feels it was because they were finally able to establish a rhythm on offense.

It is no secret that Allen and the Bills largely underwhelmed this season. According to Jay Skurski of Buffalo News, he is optimistic about building on the performance Buffalo enjoyed near the end of the year:

“I definitely think as the year went on, we improved,” Allen said. “I think we kind of found ourselves and who we are in the last six, seven games. Coach brought up some analytical points with us and I’ll keep those in house, but it’s pretty promising and exciting to think about what we could’ve done and what we can do and what’s in the future. I’m extremely excited to have the guys that we have. I’m looking forward to growing with these guys and going into next season with some momentum now and trying to continue to improve.”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Allen's comments. The Bills kicked off the season with an abysmal 2-7 start. Fortunately, they managed to end on a high note by winning four of their final seven games. It is clear that their late success can be attributed to their improvement on offense.

Buffalo had a rough time finding some stability under center while they were developing Allen. As a result, it was tough sledding for the rookie when they finally decided to pull the trigger on making him the starter. Allen took the league by surprise with his athleticism and ability to make plays with his legs. He even finished the season as Buffalo's leading rusher with 631 yards. He also set a franchise record for most total touchdowns by a rookie quarterback with 18.

Unfortunately, Allen's passing ability left much to be desired. It is encouraging to see he is capable of becoming a bonafide dual-threat, however, the Bills traded up for him with the hope that he can make plays with his rocket arm.
