The Buffalo Bills were just 13 seconds from advancing to the AFC Title Game after Josh Allen produced the goods again, linking up with Gabriel Davis for another TD to give his team a late lead. But, the Kansas City Chiefs proved why they're one of the best around as Patrick Mahomes marched down the field in a hurry to set up a game-tying field goal to force overtime, where they eventually won it.
On Tuesday, Bills coach Sean McDermott dropped a couple of truth bombs on his squad failing to contain KC in those last seconds of the fourth quarter.

What did Sean McDermott wish was done differently about those 13 seconds?
"I wish our execution was better."

Sean McDermott notes that "those 13 seconds in particular" is an area that the Bills pride themselves in being prepared for and that they practice almost daily. Said that they'll have to learn from it.

That definitely hurts knowing the Bills literally work on these types of situations on a daily basis, yet they couldn't get a stop. It was truly a heartbreaking outcome given just how electric Josh Allen was, throwing for four touchdowns and 329 yards on the day as he went toe to toe with Mahomes.
There has been a lot of criticism since Sunday for the NFL's overtime rules as well, especially since Allen was dropping dimes. Many believe the Bills would've responded with a TD of their own after Mahomes found Travis Kelce for the game-winning score.
Nevertheless, the Bills will need to come to terms with the fact that they couldn't get it done defensively when it mattered most. It's going to sting, but hopefully, Buffalo can come back stronger next season and fix their mistakes.
