Buffalo Bills wide receiver Cole Beasley left it all on the field to finish this season, including in a 38-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. Beasley revealed Monday he broke his fibula in Week 16 but decided to play through the injury.

Beasley was listed on the injury report throughout the team’s postseason – though it was originally identified as a knee injury. Beasley said it “hurt” in the Wild Card Round against the Indianapolis Colts but somehow wasn't as bad as the playoffs went on:

It's unclear if Cole Beasley will undergo surgery, but he should be able to return for OTAs and minicamp no matter what happens.

Bills Mafia, currently mourning their season, has nothing but respect for their wide receiver, knowing that he literally sacrificed his body for their squad:

Beasley led the Bills with seven catches for 88 yards in the AFC Championship Game.

While their season didn’t end the way they hoped, the Bills are in a very promising position heading into the offseason. Their core players are young and either signed to multi-year deals or still on their rookie deals. Josh Allen has established himself as one of the best young quarterbacks in the NFL, and he has an elite weapon in Stefon Diggs as a partner and a solid No. 2 guy in Cole Beasley.

The biggest plus is the Bills now have some excellent deep playoff experience, even if the experience came with the pain of losing. This type of season is something that helps boost a good team to great, similar to the Chiefs falling short against the New England Patriots before winning the Super Bowl last year.

Beasley and the Bills certainly have a promising future ahead.
