The 2022 NFL offseason has been defined in part by the huge contracts that wide receivers were landing on different teams. Thanks to those massive deals, the market for wide receivers has been reshaped and the top options are now getting paid very handsomely. The Buffalo Bills joined in the fun by signing their in-house star wideout, Stefon Diggs, to a huge contract extension.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Diggs is getting an extension worth $104 million over four years from the Bills. The deal kicks in after the 2023 season and includes $70 million guaranteed. It has the second-highest total guaranteed money of any wide receiver's deal and the fourth-highest average annual value.

The enormous extensions that Davante Adams and Tyreek Hill received after their respective trades swung the attention to Diggs, as he was due for a new contract soon. Bills general manager Brandon Beane said that getting an extension done with Diggs wouldn't be an issue. He made good on his promise by getting one done quickly.

Diggs is undoubtedly deserving of this massive extension. The two-time Pro Bowler has been a huge part of Buffalo's offense since he joined the team and has been among the most productive wideouts in the past few seasons. He has tallied 2,760 receiving yards over the past two seasons while catching over 100 passes and scoring at least eight touchdowns in each of them.

Now, Diggs and Josh Allen will continue tormenting defenses as the Bills once again contend for the Super Bowl. After coming so close the past few seasons, they are looking to return to the AFC Championship Game with new star pass rusher Von Miller and a retooled roster.
