Buffalo Bills wide receiver Terrelle Pryor has struggled to find his footing in the 2018 NFL season. He indicated that his stint with the New York Jets may have attributed to his slow start.
Pryor was hoping to bounce back with the Jets after a disastorus 2017 campaign with the Washington Redskins. According to Matt Parrino of Syracuse.com, he is still confident in his abilities:
“Yeah, I do believe that,” Pryor said. “Yes, absolutely. I can ball. I can ball, bro. I’m not being cocky, I just know with how I study and how I work and how I practice, man — like, I compete at a high level.”
Pryor added that he can even take a few snaps under center if necessary.
“I haven’t played – you guys know if you watch my film, I can throw some plays but through this wind, I won’t make it,” Pryor said. “You guys would cut my throat. You would run me out of Buffalo.”
It is encouraging to see that Pryor is still adamant about his ability to play at a high level. He enjoyed a stellar 2016 campaign with the Cleveland Browns that saw him register over 1,000 yards receiving. Unfortunately, he has struggled to find his rhythm in any offense since then.
Terrelle Pryor had registered 14 receptions for 235 yards and two touchdowns in New York before his release. The team indicated that his lingering groin injury attributed to his eventual departure. Regardless, it is no secret that the Bills are in desperate need of some more firepower on offense. Wide receiver Kelvin Benjamin currently serves as their only potential viable option in the passing game. Quarterback Nathan Peterman will need all the help he can get when the Bills host a talented Chicago Bears defense on Sunday.
