Patrick Mahomes and Tre White are part of this story: Sitting with the 10th overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills decided to trade their pick to the Kansas City Chiefs and moved back to the 27th pick of the draft.

The Chiefs went on to draft Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes who would win league MVP in just his second season and lead the franchise to a Super Bowl appearance a season later. After the tremendous amount of success that Mahomes has had early in his career, many Bills fans have been debating the team's decision to trade back in the draft that year.

Well, with the 27th pick that year, the Bills drafted a talented cornerback out of LSU named Tre'Davious White.

While Tre White doesn't have any MVP awards and isn't leading Buffalo to the Super Bowl, the 5-foot-11 defensive back has proven to be one of the top cornerbacks in the NFL.

Tre White took to Twitter to put Bills fans on blast for the Mahomes debate circulating throughout the fan base.

The 25 year old Tre White was named to the All-Pro First Team this season after recording a league-leading six interceptions along with 58 tackles and 17 passes deflected.

Also in the same draft-day trade, Buffalo received an additional first-round pick the following year. The Bills used that pick on Virginia Tech linebacker Tremaine Edmunds who started all 16 games for the team in his second year.

So while the Bills missed out on possibly the best quarterback in the NFL today, they ended up with two great defensive pieces, including Tre White. After making two playoff appearances in the last three years, they are on the right track toward success.
