The Buffalo Bills landed Von Miller in what was a major and surprising coup this offseason. Since then, Miller has been working to bring more talent to Buffalo's defense, and his recruiting methods stretch far and wide. On Wednesday, Miller revealed his latest tactic has been recruiting players while golfing. The veteran linebacker admitted to reporters that he's been working to bring Joe Haden to the Bills while the pair are on the links, via Matthew Bové.

Haden is currently a free agent after having spent the past five season with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The three-time Pro Bowler and Miller have been linking up on the golf course this offseason, and it seems Miller has been implanting the idea of playing in Buffalo in his buddy's head.

“I mean that’s football. You want to put the best team forward,” said Miller. We definitely talked about Buffalo, and we definitely talked about him coming here.”

Adding Haden to the mix in Buffalo would be a big get for the Bills. While he's no longer the star cornerback he was during his earlier years, he's still an experienced leader who could serve as a valuable rotational piece in the secondary. He was a Pro Bowler as recently as 2019, so he's clearly capable of competing at a high level still.

Last season in Pittsburgh, Haden featured in 12 games, recording 6 pass defenses, 38 tackles, and 1 forced fumble. Throughout his career, Haden has featured for the Browns and Steelers, tallying 29 interceptions, 155 pass breakups, and 615 tackles across 12 seasons in the league.
