Don't worry Buffalo Bills fans. Running back LeSean McCoy is as confused as you are about the team benching quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

“I think everybody was kind of surprised,” McCoy said to reporters. “Nobody really knew until today. We’ve been struggling, I think everybody has been struggling the last two weeks so we were a little surprised. … We’re all together. We’re not playing well, from [Taylor] to me, guys up front, other playmakers, we’re not playing well together on offense.”

Nathan Peterman will take over duties for Taylor from this point on for the Bills.

For what it is worth, LeSean McCoy is clearly fine with the move. He realizes what most other people do. That the team was struggling mightily on the offensive side of he ball. Where it gets a bit tricky here is this weird idea that Peterman will somehow be better for the Bills as they try to make a final ditch push for the playoffs.

Most assume Taylor's time with Buffalo is done. That, when the offseason hits, he will go elsewhere. It makes sense, as it never felt like the National Football League franchise was ever truly sold on him being their guy.

Nevertheless, we will see just how understanding LeSean McCoy and other players are about this move after Peterman gets some real action under his belt. It might be sunshine and rainbows today, but if things being to fall apart, don't be shocked if the backup-turned-starter then becomes the team's new scapegoat.
