Kirk Cousins and hundreds of free agents couldn't prepare us for what went down Saturday morning, drastically altering the landscape of the 2018 NFL Draft. The New York Jets relented big assets to the Indianapolis Colts to land the No. 3 overall pick.

According to Peter King of MMQB.com, one of the Jets most bitter rivals, the Buffalo Bills, aren't quite ready to take the same course of action to land their future franchise quarterback. At least Bills general manager Brandon Beane isn't quite ready to commit.

“The truth? Most of these quarterbacks I’ve only spent 15 minutes with,” Beane said, via Peter King of SI.com. “I haven’t spent enough time to have an opinion about any of them yet, honestly. I actually sent a little note to our [scouts] yesterday. We got six weeks to get our board together.

“I am not there yet, knowing if we can or will move up again. I want Sean to get to know all of them. We’re just keeping an open mind. Where we’re at, we’ve got the picks, we’ve got the draft capital. I’m not ready to pull the trigger.”

Buffalo currently holds six picks in next month's draft, but it's not like they're hurting in any fashion.

Right now, Beane comes to the party equipped with the No. 12, 22, 53 and 56 selections (all of which come in the first two rounds). When looking at both old and new draft value charts, there's more than enough to potentially swing a deal with the New York Giants for the No. 2 overall pick.

The Jets surrendered the No. 6 pick and three second-round selections, two in 2018 and one next year.

There's still plenty of time and even with AJ McCarron employed, Buffalo certainly has an eye on drafting a young offensive leader. The only question is, “Will it come at 12 or 2?”
