Square Enix finally announced the arrival of Wakanda's protect, Black Panther, sometime in Marvel's Avenger's future updates. The melee hero was always intended to make his way to the game but the update was postponed due to last year's tragedy. The death of Black Panther actor Chadwick Boseman moved the developers to delay his arrival in Marvel's Avengers. Panther's announcement comes hot on the heels of the questionable decision to rework the experience system in the game.

BLACK PANTHER FOREVER

The trailer featured the upcoming expansion Black Panther: War for Wakanda. Eagle-eyed players have noticed several voiceover clips from Panther's arch-nemesis Klaw. The trailer also treated viewers with a fantastic view of the new Wakanda environment.

“Our focus moving forward is to deliver new content that is compelling to play and replay again while offering better rewards. We’re also working on post-level-50 progression, outfits inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and multiplayer Megahives.”

Square Enix's announcement comes alongside the launch of Hawkeye's own expansion for Marvel's Avengers. Players may be excited to pick up Black Panther and Hawkeye but even more remain concerned about the dubious direction of the mechanics changes. New characters can definitely increase hype and excitement for a game but its already dwindling numbers took another hit with the announcement of the experience grind news.

Marvel's Avengers publisher Square Enix desperately tried to reason out that the new experience grind improved the game in general. The argument insists that giving a better early-game challenge enhances the overall experience for all players. However, many have pointed out that the game becomes increasingly enjoyable only beyond level 50. Hopefully, Black Panther enters Marvel's Avengers while it still has some players willing to give the game a try. Square Enix would be surprised how easy it is to lose loyal players with just a snap of the fingers.
