Juventus midfielder Blaise Matuidi made a splash on early Monday morning, signing with David Beckham's Inter Miami, according to Fabrizio Romano of Sky Sports Italia. The two clubs have agreed on the transfer and a medical exam is to hammer out the move.

The French midfielder won three league titles since moving to Serie A from Paris Saint-Germain in 2017, along with a World Cup title in 2018.

The 33-year-old has been linked to Premier League powerhouses like Manchester United along with other clubs. Blaise Matuidi is still in top-notch form and is a great get for Major League Soccer and Inter Miami, who got off to an 0-5 start, scoring only three goals in its inaugural season.

David Beckham's side has been linked to other prominent names like Uruguayans Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani, and Brazilian midfielder Willian, who had a conditional deadline to report by early July.

The Inter Miami owner is no stranger to Matuidi's skills on the pitch, as the two played for PSG when David Beckham was winding down his career in 2012-13.

Blaise Matuidi is a well-rounded central midfielder with solid awareness and good striking ability from outside the box. He won't bring the flash the likes of Suarez and Cavani bring as forwards, but his poised play could be a solid anchor for a team that is in dire need of help.

The newly-formed Inter Miami still has a designated player spot open, one that Blaise Matuidi is certain to occupy alongside Rodolfo Pizzaro and Matias Pellegrini once they take the pitch again.
