After agreeing to a contract buyout with the Detroit Pistons and becoming an unrestricted free agent, Blake Griffin has already received interest from several teams that are interested in signing him.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers, Brooklyn Nets, Miami Heat, Golden State Warriors, and Boston Celtics are the teams that have made it known that are interested in acquiring Griffin’s services, according to Marc Stein of the New York Times. Stein also reported that the Nets are considered strong contenders to sign him, given the team’s rise as a title contender and his strong relationships with their players.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, meanwhile, reports that aside from the Nets, Warriors, and the Heat, the Portland Trail Blazers are also interested in acquiring the six-time NBA All-Star.

So far, all of the teams that are interested in Griffin are in the thick of the playoff race in the Western and Eastern Conferences and are also among those considered to be the title favorites heading into the season.

While the 31-year-old forward is not the same high-flying player that he was back when he was with the Clippers, he can still help a playoff contender looking to add more talent before the second half of the season. This season, Griffin is averaging 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.9 assists while shooting 36.5% from the field and 31.5% from beyond the arc in 20 games for the Pistons.

Joining a contender would also allow the former Rookie of the Year and Slam dunk Contest champion to return to the playoffs and potentially win a championship. After helping the Clippers to six straight playoff appearances from 2012 to 2017, he played just two postseason games since joining the Pistons.

Griffin will reportedly make his decision after talking to prospective teams, and based on the number of teams interested in signing him, his next few days should be busy.
