Evan Turner hasn't been known for his range. While he can do a little bit of everything on the floor, the absence of a consistent outside shooting has diminished his value in today's 3-point-heavy landscape in the NBA.

Turner, who averaged 9.0 points per game and shot 26.3 percent from the 3-point area last season, is fully aware of this, as evidenced by the work he's putting in this summer to improve his three-point touch. He even posted some videos on his Instagram account to show his progress.

Turner failed to shoot better than 28.8 percent from distance in any of his last four seasons. So far in his career, the Ohio State product owns a 29.8 percent clip from beyond the arc. That pathetic figure will have to improve, especially now that the Portland Trail Blazers have traded away Allen Crabbe to the Brooklyn Nets.

3-point shooting was a big part of Portland's offense last season, when they ranked eighth in the league with 10.4 threes per contest on 37.5 percent shooting.
