The Portland Trailblazers showed their solidarity with victims of social injustice by forming a circle of unity during the playing of the national anthem during their open scrimmage on Sunday.

Blazers point guard Damian Lillard mentioned earlier in the week that the team would try and stage a demonstration to encourage social change, assuring reporters that “he'd come up with something.”
Portland is the second team to come up with creative ways to raise awareness, as the Toronto Raptors players locked arms during the playing of the Canadian and American anthems on Saturday.
While these acts of ingenuity are being praised at the moment, it likely won't be long before fans protest the recurring ensembles since it's not what they're used to during the playing of the anthem.
Here are both sides of the coin.
@jwquick don’t like it. Should be facing the flag and being respectful. If they continue I’ll tune out. Rude and disrespectful.
