Portland Trail Blazers guard C.J. McCollum has been in the middle of a tiring war between his own beliefs and the assembly of the dominant era of the Golden State Warriors.
Recently, a clip of an interview in China surfaced, in which McCollum called the formation of superteams “disgusting” — something that left a sour note for teams like the Houston Rockets, the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Los Angeles Lakers, and the aforementioned Warriors, who had several run-ins with the opinionated two-guard.
Yet the Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard insists he's not a “bitter ex” about this issue, but was rather being candid about his feelings.
Y’all stay bringing up old stuff. Yall got me out here looking like a bitter ex. 1 of the best teams ever assembled W/ 2 players you could argue are top 15 greatest to lace them up. 4 hall of famers w/ another one on the way. I’m happy stop making me look like a scorn man sheesh https://t.co/4xVYw5FDOv

The interview with CCTV Sports noted something many fans knew about McCollum, he's sticking by the same code of loyalty that his backcourt partner Damian Lillard has been known to live by.
Yet the Blazers' storied shortcomings have been thoroughly disappointing, perhaps even leading the league in disappointment — as they boast the most first-round exits in the history of the league with 23 — including a sweep to the sixth-seeded New Orleans Pelicans this year after snatching the No. 3 seed in the West.
McCollum even went at it with Kevin Durant, who joined his Pull Up podcast as a guest and roasted him when he expressed his championship hopes, laughing in his face and crushing every hope to walk away with a title.
The Lehigh product won't be short of hot takes for his new podcast, but he's taken a major L with this one, looking rather frustrated at his recent shortcomings in the loaded Western Conference.
