Carmelo Anthony seemed to find a long-term home with the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2019-20 season and he seems to share the same sentiment.

According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, Anthony has agreed to re-sign with the Blazers.

The length and value of the contract remain to be seen for Anthony and the Blazers. At the least, Anthony will be returning to a team he had success with last season.

Following a short stint with the Houston Rockets in 2018-19, Anthony found himself in a rough spot. Some fans and media pundits believed that Anthony was no longer capable of being a key contributor on a winning team.

However, Portland would sign him to a one-year, prove-it deal ahead of the 2019-20 season. The one-time scoring champion would sign for only $2.1 million for a chance to show that he can still produce in the NBA.

In his first year with the Blazers, Anthony accounted for 15.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.5 assists per game while starting in 58 games. He also shot an impressive 38.5 percent from 3-point range in the regular season, which is the highest of his career since the 2013-14 season.

Despite his flaws as a defender, Anthony was a great fit alongside the likes of Damian Lillard and C.J. McCollum. Early this offseason, the Blazers have been an active team.

Before re-signing Anthony, Portland has acquired Robert Covington in a trade, re-signed Rodney Hood, and signed Derrick Jones Jr. Even though he isn't the elite scorer he once was, Anthony has found a place to call home for possibly the rest of his career.
