It's Carmelo Anthony's birthday, and Portland Trail Blazers fans made sure to greet him and show their appreciation for the veteran forward who has been phenomenal for the team and the city since his arrival.

During Game 4 of their first-round playoffs series with the Denver Nuggets, the fans at Moda Center belted out the “Happy Birthday” song for Anthony while the game was being played.

It certainly helped that the Blazers were ahead big at that point, as they event went up by as much as 30 points in the contest–courtesy of Melo, of course! Still, it surely wouldn't be different if they were trailing given how well Carmelo Anthony has ingrained himself to the city and the team.

Melo just turned 37, but there is certainly a lot more left in his tank. During the 2020-21 regular season, he averaged 13.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 assists. In the first three games of the playoffs, he has been as efficient putting up 13.3 points on 41.4 percent shooting.

While he is no longer the same Melo that used to dominate offensively with the Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks, the 10-time All-Star has absolutely embraced his new role with the Blazers and continues to help them in several ways. With that, Portland fans has nothing but love and appreciation for him.
