Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony continues to make history in his 18th season in the league. Tuesday night against the Orlando Magic, the veteran surpassed Oscar Robertson for the 12th spot on the all-time scoring list. Melo now has 26,722 points in the regular season in his NBA career.

After the game, Anthony spoke about how he takes his achievements in stride, especially after eclipsing a legend like Robertson:

Robertson now sits at the 13th spot of the list with a total of 26,710 points of his own. Anthony will need to score 225 more points in order to surpass Houston Rockets great Hakeem Olajuwon for the 11th spot with 26,946 points.

On Tuesday night, Anthony had a big game with 23 points on 5-of-9 shooting from beyond the arc. Lead guard Damian Lillard topped his team in scoring by producing 36 points on a 5-of-10 shooting clip from beyond the arc along with five rebounds.

Their combined production on offense along with a steady defense by the team helped them fend off a comeback attempt made by the shorthanded Magic in a 106-97 victory.
