The Blazers were involved in a tightly-contested encounter against the Raptors all throughout the game. Portland also lost its starting center in Jusuf Nurkic who left the game in the first half due to a quad injury.

Anthony provided a couple of timely baskets as the game went down to the wire while C.J. McCollum nailed a go-ahead jumper in the dying seconds of the game to hold a slim 112-111 lead.

Toronto's Pascal Siakam then took matters into his own hands in the final play and went for a potential game-winning shot which eventually rimmed out of the ring. It was the second consecutive game-winning shot that Siakam missed, only a day after his last-second attempt against the Golden State Warriors.

McCollum topped the team in scoring with 30 points, six rebounds, and five assists followed by Damian Lillard who added 23 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Anthony also added 20 points, five rebounds, and three assists of his own.

With tough defense and better execution in crunch time, the Blazers ran away with a 112-111 victory to improve to a 6-4 record for the fifth spot in the Western Conference. Meanwhile, the Raptors extended their losing skid and slid to a 2-8 tally.

Indeed, the Blazers will have to be productive on both ends of the floor once again as they aim to snag a win against the Sacramento Kings on Jan. 13.
