Hall of Famer Charles Barkley is all in on the Portland Trail Blazers. In fact, the NBA legend recently reiterated his belief that the Rip City squad will go all the way to the Finals this 2020.

Moreover, sir Charles is confident that Portland will make it to the eighth seed and upset the top-seeded Los Angeles Lakers in the first round.

The Blazers have been outstanding since the restart, winning three out of their first four seeding games inside the bubble. They had another tremendous showing on Thursday, defeating the second-seeded Denver Nuggets, 125-115. This was preceded by a huge win on Tuesday against the red-hot Houston Rockets.

Despite their hot streak, however, Portland still remains one game behind the eighth-seeded Memphis Grizzlies in the Western Conference. At this point, making it to the playoffs for them is anything but a certainty, so to say that Barkley's statement above is pretty bold would be an understatement.

Charles Barkley was also reminded that he said the same thing about the Blazers last season. In fairness to him, Damian Lillard and Co. did go all the way to the Western Conference Finals, only to be defeated handily by the Golden State Warriors in a clean, four-game sweep.

Portland was undeniably impressive last term, but they still failed to live up to Barkley's lofty expectations.

Nonetheless, Chuck remains steadfast in his belief in the Blazers. The legendary power forward does love underdog stories, and there is perhaps no better narrative in the bubble right now than that of Portland. Then again, the Round Mound of Rebound has been wrong before, and he is virtually hanging on a string with his rather audacious claim here.
