Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard CJ McCollum has a message for Minnesota Timberwolves rookie guard Anthony Edwards, who boldly claimed he's a better rapper than Damian Lillard.

On a recent podcast with Complex Sports, McCollum said Edwards should focus on his jump shot instead of calling out Lillard's rapping ability.

The first time Anthony Edwards faces CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard is certainly going to be fun now. Fans of the Timberwolves and Blazers should circle that game on their calendars.

The Blazers have had quite the offseason. They re-signed Carmelo Anthony and Rodney Hood, traded for Robert Covington, and signed Derrick Jones Jr. and Harry Giles in free agency. Portland should be a better team in 2020-21 after being the eighth seed in the West last season.

In the 2020 NBA bubble playoffs, the Blazers lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in five games in the first round at Walt Disney World. Portland won Game 1 of the series, but LeBron James and Anthony Davis were too much for Portland to handle in Games 2-5.

As for the Timberwolves, they are likely going to struggle in the Western Conference next season despite having Edwards, D'Angelo Russell and Karl-Anthony Towns leading the way as the team's Big 3. Minnesota has only made the playoffs once since 2004.
