Portland Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum is one happy man after the Cleveland Browns eliminated the Pittsburgh Steelers, 48-37, in their NFL Wild Card Round match on Sunday.

While the NBA star is already set for life financially, McCollum couldn't help but boast a bit after he got even richer for betting on the Browns. The Blazers guard took to Twitter to personally thank Baker Mayfield and Jarvis Landry for leading Cleveland to the upset victory.

McCollum was particularly fond of Mayfield, as he was responsible for covering his spread.

Playing in his playoff debut, Mayfield completed 21 of 34 passes for 263 yards and three touchdowns. More importantly, he outplayed Steelers legendary quarterback Ben Roethlisberger in the blowout win.

CJ McCollum even commented on Mayfield's latest Instagram post shortly after the win.

“Smart money on the browns 🙌🏾 turn upppppppppppp,” the Blazers star wrote.

McCollum also gave credit to Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry, who powered the Cleveland offense to 28 unanswered points in the first quarter. His beautiful connection with Mayfield was just too much for the stunned Steelers, who could not recover from that early disadvantage.

McCollum has never been shy about his support for the  Browns even during their struggling years. The 29-year-old Blazers scorer and playmaker was born and raised in Canton, Ohio and went to high school in Glen Oak. For sure, he'll be watching closely once more when the team takes on the reigning Super Bowl champions Kansas City City Chiefs and their superstar Patrick Mahomes in the next round.
